History of ANC

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has approved Anowara Nursing College, and it is connected with Rajshahi Medical University and the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council. The semester techniques, test methods, exam evaluation, and educational programs have been carried out by Rajshahi Medical University and the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council in compliance with the established regulations. The organization's primary goal is to develop students into competent, trained nurses through the greatest theoretical and practical nursing education. By providing nursing education to disadvantaged and backward students in North Bengal, particularly Dinajpur, it is taking the lead in the development of health care by creating jobs for nurses in the field of fluent, healthy public health as well as the development of professional health workers. As a result, these students are making a tremendous contribution to the health services of the country, which is improving the quality of life in the public health sector.

Message from principal

Anowara Nursing College, Mirzapur, Suihari, Dinajpur was established in 2014. Practical training has been arranged in various district hospitals and medical college hospitals along with regular classes by admitting students every year in accordance with the government rules and policies. M.Sc in Nursing

M.Sc. Nursing, short for Master of Science in Nursing, is a master’s-level program. The course aims to cater to the fields of nursing and applied science. Duration of M.Sc. nursing for two years. Delivery Method The nursing course of the M.Sc. includes lectures, seminars, practical work, and extensive lab and field training. Students are required to submit their research thesis in the last semester of the program. In the final evaluation, students’ class assignments, research projects, and end-of-semester exams are taken into consideration. Eligibility criteria for M.Sc. include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of nursing. The course syllabus is divided into two years. In their first year of MSc. Nursing, students study advanced nursing topics, clinical nursing, nursing education, research, and statistics. In the second year of the program, students study nursing management and work on their research thesis.

Admission Eligibility

After completing a B.Sc., there is an opportunity to do a M.Sc. in Nursing (Nursing Management, Community Health Nursing, Adult and Elderly Health Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Mental Health, and Psychiatric Nursing) at this college.

Job Facilities

After successful completion of the nursing course, there are job opportunities in government and private hospitals, clinics, and NGOs. Besides, after the course, IELTS, OET, and CGFNS courses are available for high-salary RN (registered nurse) jobs in different European countries.

B.Sc in Nursing (Basic)

04-year duration: B.Sc. in Nursing (Basic) Course. Anowara Nursing College is affiliated with the Bangladesh Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council, and Rajshahi University. The changing concept of the health care system has opened new doors in medical education. Currently, the B.Sc. in Nursing (Basic) Education degree is one of the most important branches of medical education.

Admission Eligibility

04-year duration: B.Sc. in Nursing (Basic) must be admitted within two years of passing HSC from the science department. 02-year duration, B.Sc. in Nursing (Post-Basic), diploma passed from BNMC. Admission by the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council Students who get a minimum of 40 marks in the exam can get admission.

B.Sc in Nursing (Post Basic)

The B.Sc. in Nursing (Post-Basic) is an undergraduate program that lasts two years. Nursing Science and Midwifery

03-year duration-Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery Course Anowara Nursing College is approved by the Bangladesh Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and affiliated with the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council. Diploma in Midwifery

A midwife provides advice, care, and support to women and newborns during and after pregnancy, labor, and early delivery. She helps women make decisions about various health services under their care during pregnancy and advises them on health and child care. A midwife is personally responsible for the health of both mother and baby and recommends seeing a gynecologist if medical complications arise during pregnancy or birth. A midwife provides services in hospitals and community health centers.

Admission eligibility

Applicants must have passed both SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations from any group, preferably science, from any Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education or any other Board in Bangladesh. Applicants must have a GPA less than 2.5 in the SSC and 2.5 in the HSC examination.

A midwife can work in various government hospitals and health care centers. Moreover, many workers are being recruited for this profession in the government department.
